Dog Doors

We can install dog doors into any glass pane for almost any type and size of dog.  We would need to replace your existing glass with toughened safety glass first which will comply with Australian Standards and protects you, your dog and any children which may be around.  Dog Doors in double glazing also available.

There are three types of glass,

• Toughened glass – this is the correct glass for dog door install.  This is the glass that I will use.  I would still need to replace your existing toughened glass because once glass is toughened it cannot be cut any further.  The hole to accommodate the dog door must be cut prior to the toughening process.
• Laminated glass – is the weakest of all types of glass.  With a big expensive hole cut into this type of glass it is destined to run cracks after it gets even slight knocks, which will lead it to needing to be replaced.
• Float glass – stronger than laminated glass at the same thickness, but don’t be fooled or consider cutting into this glass.  Float glass is very dangerous and illegal in many places.  This glass can do serious damage to your beloved dog.
